Tulancingo (officially Tulancingo de Bravo) is the second-largest city in the Mexican state of Hidalgo. It is located in the southeastern part of the state and also forms one of the 84 municipalities of Hidalgo, as well as the Archdiocese of Tulancingo. The municipality covers an area of 290.4 km² (112.12 sq mi).
The city had a 2005 census population of 96,538, while the municipality had a population of 129,935.
The name Tulancingo can refer to the city, the municipality, the valley or the river.
